It was a while ago that Adam and Eve took a bite from the apple of wisdom. Since then, they and you and I became aware of ourselves. We started to have an outside view of ourselves. And with this new perspective we became aware of our own image. So we started to correct and rearrange ourselves. We started using mirrors and sunglasses and high heels, and we started taking pictures of ourselves and we watched the pictures of ourselves. And we started watching not only ourselves, but also others and through the comparison we gained even more insight in ourselves. And it was with this separation of us from them that we became spectators. And it was through the role as spectator that we learned to imitate, and that’s when we discovered acting. We became players; Protagonists in our own play.
