It&#8217;s all connected [&#8230;] each word in each book is crosslinked, clustered, cited, extracted, indexed, analyzed, annotated, and woven deeper into the culture than ever before [&#8230;] every page reads all the other pages [&#8230;]  Think of Wikipedia as one very large book \u2013&nbsp;a single encyclopedia \u2013 which of course it is. Most of its 34 million pages are crammed with words [&#8230;] So what happens when all the books in the world become a single liquid fabric of interconnected words and ideas? Four things&#8230;&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Wikipedia is het eerste genetwerkte boek, veranderlijk, &#8216;a stream of edits&#8217;, een &#8216;becoming&#8217;, schrijft Kelly, wat spookachtig klinkt, een stoomtanker die opdoemt in de mist. Een boek is geen eindproduct van een proces, maar zelf een proces, een bijproduct, &#8216;a continuous flow of thinking, writing, researching, editing, rewriting, sharing, socializing, cognifying, unbundling, marketing, more sharing, and screening&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><!--- 'a flow that generates a book along the way' ---><\/p>\n<p><!--- Ik ben minder ge\u00efnteresseerd in die veranderlijke flow, merk ik.  Volgende week zal hij ongetwijfeld een ander verhaal vertellen. ---><\/p>\n<p>Ik ontdek dat mijn verlangen begint te verschuiven. Lange tijd wilde ik het brokstuk, het fragment, het citaat bewaren. Dat wil ik nog steeds, maar nu met een hart erbij dat (n)iets voelt, een hoofd dat wel of niet begrijpt, een maag die omdraait, een geest die tot rust komt, berust.<\/p>\n<p>Misschien ben ik een romanticus, maar ik wil de mens-die-schrijft-denkt-voelt-weet-twijfelt-van-gedachten-verandert als eenheid, als atoom, als elementair deeltje, en niet de pure informatie (die ook: en\/en). <!--- Ik wil een mens die denkt en voelt en weet. ---> Noem het bezielde, vervuilde, besmette, gewogen, betrokken informatie. <!--- Ik ben nieuwsgierig naar wat een mens op een bepaald moment maakt. ---><\/p>\n<p>Begin your story with a voice, zeggen zij die iets zeggen over schrijven, die ge\u00efnteresseerd zijn in het schrijven, in hoe het er staat en niet alleen in wat (Ursula K. Le Guin).<\/p>\n<p>Ik maak <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imhd.nl\/log\/category\/meerstemmig-wikipedia\/\">een encyclopedie vol stemmen<\/a>, a ghost story, een spookschip.<\/p>\n<p><!--- begin your story with a voice, UKL ---><\/p>\n<p><!--- Een mens gebruikt een citaat, linkt naar een citaat, remixt het, gebruikt het als stapsteen om ergens te komen. Heeft kennis, ervaring of kunde of verzameld over een onderwerp. ---><\/p>\n<p><!--- Begin your story with voice, zegt UKL. Ik wil een encyclopedie van voices. ---><\/p>\n<p><!--- Elk woord kan gelinkt worden, een relatie aangaan met een ander woord, een andere tekst, een ander persoon. ---><\/p>\n<p><!--- Wat heb ik aan verbonden woorden? ---><\/p>\n<p><!--- Dat is ook zo, en het is ook handig dat je dat kan crosslinken. ---><\/p>\n<p><!--- Kelly beschouwt het woord, de zin, het idee als diepste niveau: ---><\/p>\n<p><!--- Alles stroomt. ---><\/p>\n<p><em>[So what happens when all the books in the world become a single liquid fabric of interconnected words and ideas?
