Als Wikipedia van mij was, was ik inmiddels doodongelukkig. Willekeur en anarchie onder de manschappen. Lemma&#8217;s nooit in het gelid. Onder een plaatje van een wit huis staat dat Elizabeth Bishop er in haar jeugd enkele gelukkige jaren doorbracht, in het Engels staat er niks. Gelukkige jaren? In Reaching for the moon (2013), een film over de tragische liefde tussen Elizabeth Bishop en Lota de Macedo Soares, zegt een bevriende dichter over haar werk: &#8216;observations, broken into lines&#8217;. Die zin ontbreekt op Wikipedia. Wikipedia is een kwelling.
