We crave order. We crave it. We crave order. We crave justice. We crave law. We cannot function without ‘get up in the morning’. Ritual is a form of law. It’s selfimposed organisational law and this is because that is how we psychically organise power. A ritual is a way we psychically organise energy and power. And it is because it is the nature of the whole of creation. The whole of creation is a function of energy into matter, thought into form. Thought and energy must be given form and the organisation of that requires ritual. It requires choice into consequence. When one crosses the mystical bridge one realises that energy is in fact grace. – The Jesuit Rec Room with Caroline Myss (7:03-7:58)

[Dit zou een verklaring kunnen zijn voor het verlangen van de psyche naar de opgeruimde bestekla, shirtjes op een stapel op de plank, tapijt recht, afwas gedaan, de noodzaak om energie en krachten in banen te leiden. Opruimen, chaos bedwingen, is creatie.]
